Madrid rider Zak Maytum takes 1st at Cali Outlaw #7
On Memorial day, May 25th, Race Number 7 of the California Outlaw
Series was held on the top section of Glendora Mountain Road known as
the Bonus Mile. The day saw 13 racers from all over California. After a
few rounds of eliminations, the final was under way. The final
consisted of Madrid riders Andrew Mercado and Zak Maytum, as well as
Rogers Bros. riders John Rogers and Brett Nelson. A fierce battle was
under way, but it was Madrid’s own Zak Maytum who took the win followed
by John Rogers, Andrew Mercado and Brett Nelson. Following the race, a
huge freeride session went down on GMR and we called it a day. Thanks
to everyone who came out. Be ready for Race 8 of the series in
Kings County National Park in late June!
